Typo is a division of the Cotton on Group with products that span stationery and giftware, homewares, travel and tech accessories, cards and wrap, as well as DIY crafts. One-of-a-kind products and quirky giftware with a sense of fun have seen Typo expand from one stand alone store in Victoria to over 170 stores in ten countries world wide. With such expansion, consistency in training staff to maintain high levels of store appearance and customer service is of high importance, and so, Typo required an in store training manual for their store management teams that encouraged them to embody the brand and its values .

The outcome was the Typo 'O-Week Handbook' which outlines the store policies and procedures, guides the team through various customer relations scenarios, teaches them about the importance their various responsibilities from training their team members, to running the store, stock inventory, visual merchandising and loss prevention procedures. With such in depth training the manual needed to be highly visual to maintain enthusiasm within the team and reflect the brands identity. The result is a 172 page manual with various practical activities and reference images which encourage managers in training to embody the brand and instill the same in their teams.
